As Indian media houses use the COVID pandemic to play around with the lives and livelihood of employees, Sanjiv Mehta, the chairman and managing of HUL, offers an insight into how his company is dealing with the pressures and challenges.
In an otherwise mundane conversation with Ronnie Screwvala on work, jobs and careers, Mehta says Unilever, as a group, has taken a call that it will protect the jobs of its people “for the next three months”, even if they are not direct employees.
