From the embers of war, a creative fire was lit

Sixty years, today, June 6, as World War II was veering to an end, one of the world’s great photo syndication agencies was born. Four friends, all major photojournalists themselves—Robert Capa, Henri Cartier-Bresson, David Seymour, and George Rodger—decided to form a photo coperative. They called it Magnum Photos.
